Get Involved!

Each year, over 200 community volunteers help Peace Neighborhood Center deliver vital programming and services.

Peace has an ongoing need for volunteers! Opportunities include: providing individualized academic support for K-12 youth in our After-School Programs; supporting our weekly Food Distribution; helping with our annual Holiday Assistance; cooking meals to support programs; and other one-time projects.

We would love to find a good fit for you, or your group, to support Peace Neighborhood Center.

In addition, if you are interested in larger, one-time projects such as landscaping and grounds maintenance, please call Bonnie Billups, Jr. at 734.662.3564.

Food Distribution

Since 2011, Peace has been partnering with Food Gatherers to distribute perishable food items every Friday morning.  Each week, Peace welcomes a diverse population of people from across Washtenaw County at our main Ann Arbor facility at 1111 North Maple Road. As an open choice distribution, families can choose from a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as other food items such as bread, desserts, and healthy snacks. What began as a temporary  voucher-based program, serves on average over 40 families/households each week. Thank you to our partners at Food Gatherers for helping us meet this need!
